Webcast: Constructing the Vision 2020 Framework through Qualitative Techniques in Competitive Intelligence

Vision 2020 is a term that refers to the objectives an enterprise aims to achieve in this decade. In its infancy, a competitive intelligence program is designed primarily to educate the enterprise about its competition in the market, mainly through past events and developments of the market players. The second phase of competitive intelligence is forecasting. 

In this session, we present a case study that outlines the research methodologies that were used in a real-life scenario where a professional services firm assessed the current landscape from a 360 degree perspective, and carried the findings to the boardroom to chart out its Vision 2020 strategy and roadmap. The session will educate competitive intelligence professionals on documenting and analyzing the intelligence that aid in forecasting the dynamics of their industry. At the end of this session, participants will be able to construct a Vision 2020 framework for their enterprise.

Shilpashri Aswathanarayana is a competitive intelligence professional at Tata Consultancy Services in Bangalore, India.  She is a certified Ambassador of the Competitive Intelligence program at the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP Ambassador). Currently, she leads a team that provides strategic intelligence on competition to a professional services firm. Her areas of responsibility include delivery excellence and innovation management. She has eight years of experience in Research-related Intelligence services.  Her main areas of expertise include industry and competitor benchmarking, sentiment analysis, and media monitoring. Her clientele have comprised the C-suite including the Chief Public Relations Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Strategic Officer who are directly responsible for steering the strategy of their companies.
