§1 The use of the portal is free
§2 There are three categories of access for customers
(1) Anonymous users (without registration)
Anonymous users have access to the news section, forum messages, the event calendar and the supplier section as well as the workshop catalog of the Institute for Competitive Intelligence.
(2) Registered users
Registered users have additional access to the comprehensive and categorized link- and resources collection. Furthermore, the forum with all functions is available (writing messages, subscribing to topics, contacting forum participants, etc.). Additionally, you decide if you want to receive our free newsletter that informs you regularly on news of our portal (news, events, announcements,…).
(3) ICI-Alumni users
All participants of the workshops of the Institute for Competitive Intelligence (ICI) have additional access on the portal to the expanded forum and the community functions to exchange experiences within the exclusive alumni network.
§3 Data acquisition and storage of data
We collect your contact details for the use of our portal. The registration as well as the use of the contact forms are considered as consent to the collection and storage of your contact details. §4 Use of data
We use your individual-related data solely within the scope of our services to inform you in the best way and as specifically as possible. A transfer to a third party is excluded. We explicitly don’t exclude the release of anonymized data and statistics.
§5 Terms of use of the forum and the alumni-portal
(1) The Competitive-Intelligence.Com-Portal works in real-time mode. It isn’t possible to control the messages immediately. Please be aware that we cannot monitor the messages of our visitors and members online. We don’t assume responsibility for the content, correctness and form of each message. Every contributor is responsible as author of his own message.
(2) We explicitly prohibit the posting of racist, pornographic or inhuman content as well as those that infringe upon good morals. If an administrator or a moderator realizes content of aforementioned nature, it will be removed from the system without any reply to the author or it will be corrected by the administrator or moderator.
(3) The administrators and moderators reserve the right to move, close or erase messages that are extraneous or were obviously posted to disrupt the relevant discussion.
(4) We also reserve the right to temporarily or permanently revoke the right of members to write. We request all visitors or members of the forum system to be committed to a fair discussion and an acceptable choice of words. Please use language that you would also accept in answers to your messages.
